SIRENS RELEASE NEW SELF-TITLED ALBUM
We are thrilled to announce the release of our newest album, "Sirens"! CDs are on sale, and you don't want to miss out! Orders can be placed through our "Contact" page!
ABOUT REVIEWS OF THE SIRENS
"It's just some of the best female beats you're likely to hear anywhere. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Treble pop/rock groups, this is what you're trying to do." --Hannah Stotland
"The Sirens continue to shatter the limitations of recorded women's a cappella. I'd gladly be hurled overboard to hear these ladies sing." --Joshua Diamant
(all above quotes taken from our Recorded A Cappella Review Board reviews)
The USC Sirens were formed in October of 1997 by Brock Harris. Connie Chung (President 1997-1998) is credited with naming the Sirens. In Greek and Roman mythology, mythical creatures called Sirens used their voices to lure sailors to their deaths. When you come to our shows, refrain from bringing wax for your ears or twine to tie yourself to the mast.
The Sirens have been hired to perform at many venues, including the Popovich Dedication Ceremony, President Sample's private Homecoming party, singing the national anthem at an L.A. Kings and the USC hockey games, CityWalk at Universal Studios, the Gene Autry Museum; not to mention our occasional romps at the Third Street Promenade!
Sirens have appeared on Best of Collegiate A Cappella (BOCA) for 7 years in a row.
